  1. Hi Damian. You gave me a lesson once at your house. We discussed Zons; you referred me to Bass Northwest, but they were shy on sixes at the time and didn’t really have what I was looking for.

Unbelievably, you’ve now designed your own bass (!) and as an alternative to a Zon Hyperbass, I would seriously like to consider the Erskine SKJOLD (to replace my stolen Pedulla from 2008 and the temporary, impossible “plank” I’ve been plunking on since then).

Is there ANY way I could come by and check yours out when you are back from L.A. and points beyond?

All I can say is I am THRILLED that you’ve designed your own bass. If it’s anything like the ones you let me play when we hung out, it will be near–or sheer–perfection.

    All the best,
    Naiya

Hey Damian, the strap looks really promising. Have you talked to any guitarists that’ve tried it? I’m considering a two-shoulder strap for my heavy-heavy guitar.

  3. damian says:

I imagine that it would work equally well for guitar as for bass (just like any strap) but I don’t personally know any guitarists who have tried it.

Good question! Maybe Jay at GruvGear knows someone?

I went for it, and I’m glad I did I’m still fiddling with the fit and position, but I can tell I’m gonna like it. Nice work!

Featured Video

This is the first of quite a few clips that were shot at GruvGear HQ in California.  David, Ricky and I are all proud GruvGear artists and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to play with these giants.

Look for more clips, info on the gear and downloads for the audio and video at GruvGear SESSIONS !

Look for more coming to you soon!  As always, check the GruvGear page and sign up for the mailing list as we have a LOT of very cool things in the works!

Video was also shot with the support of Aguilar Amplification and Skjold Designs basses as David and I are both huge supporters of those great companies!
